6U Playoff Brackets
PLAYOFF RULES UPDATE FOR 11/16
A few things for this weekend…strange things are about…resumptions, championships, etc. I'll try to get these posted in one place online because there are sure to be more:
- All championships are single games…no best-of-two
- Age-group championships ONLY will have an extended time-limit to 1:45 and umpire pay will be +$10 per official. Plan accordingly.
- 14U & 16U WILL have 3 umpires per game all day. Age group championship will be +$10 for all 3.
- All other age groups will have 2 umpires all day.
- Be prepared to start 30 minutes early.
- Be prepared to wait for umpires who are changing fields (especially 11U).
- Be prepared for games to run long. We must have a winner and age-group championships have extended time limits.
- RESUMPTIONS - right where you let off unless alteration approved
- Player on roster not in line up MAY act as subs in continuation game
- Sub rules continue..any starter sub'd for may be re-sub'd into the same spot of line up. Any sub entered and removed is not eligible to re-enter. Any sub in the game who is removed is ineligible to re-enter unless there is an injury.
- Pitching rules are still per day, but daily pitch limit may not be exceeded in that game. For example, Johnny threw 30 pitches last Sunday. His pitch limit for COBRA is 50 finish the inning. He may throw up to 50 total this Sunday and finish the inning. He may throw up to 20 in the continuation game and finish the inning. Your league's pitching restrictions still apply.
Playoff rules as distributed in WhatsApp
Double elimination
Umpires: $50/game/umpire
Week 1 – 1 umpire
Week 2+ - 2 umpires
Higher seed has CHOICE of Home or Away in ALL games. See division page for seeds.
90 minute time limit remains in effect.
REMINDER: a new inning starts as soon as the last out is recorded in the bottom half of an inning.
Teams are permitted 30 minutes between back-to-back games.
Must have a winner.
If still tied after time limit expires (inning is finished) or 6 innings (7 on 90' bases), teams will start offense with the last player due up on 2B.
A CR (courtesy runner) may NOT be used if a player qualifying for a CR would be the offensive player to start on 2B. If the position due up last is eligible for a courtesy runner (CR), the team may use an eligible sub or the batting spot before them will be placed on 2B instead. All sub and re-sub restrictions remain relevant. Play continues until a winner is determined.
